US Green Card / Waiver
FBI Fingerprint Card FD-258
In order to get an FBI Identity History Summary Check (a.k.a US police certificate) for various reasons, the FBI requires applicant's fingerprints to be sent to them on their fingerprint form (ie. the FD-258) form.
Frontier One Fingerprinting & Identification can provide your fingerprints on the FBI-approved FD-258 Fingerprint Form for most reasons right away after taking your fingerprints on our digital LiveScan system for $65 CAD. Frontier One Fingerprinting & Identification ONLY provides your fingerprints on the FBI FD-258 form. We DO NOT involve in any other step in the procedure of applying for the FBI Identity History Summary Check.
US Visa Waiver
A person is required to obtain a US Visa Waiver before entering the US if meets all of the following details:
1. You are a citizen from a country that is NOT required to obtain a visa before going to the US
2. You are only VISITING the US, and NOT IMMIGRATING, and
3. You have an inadmissibility to enter the US (i.e. have a criminal record - even if already pardoned, overstayed US visa, etc.)
If you have ever stayed in Canada for 6 months or more, it is one of the requirements by the US Immigration to obtain a RCMP criminal record check. At Frontier One Fingerprinting & Identification, we can take your fingerprints digitally and send it directly to the RCMP. The RCMP will process your background check and send you the certified RCMP criminal record check certificate.
Frontier One Fingerprinting & Identification ONLY capturing and submitting your fingerprints to the RCMP to obtain the RCMP police certificate. We DO NOT involve in any other step in the procedure of applying for the US Visa Waiver.
US Immigration (Green Card)
If you are applying to IMMIGRATE to US (i.e Spousal visa, Employment-based visa, etc.) and have stayed in Canada for 6 months or more, a RCMP certified criminal record check certificate is required.
According to the US Immigration's official website, under "Police, Court, Prison Records" section, as of September 10, 2018 a fingerprint-based, certified criminal record check REQUESTED UNDER THE CANADIAN PRIVACY ACT from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is required by U.S. Consular posts in Canada.
At Frontier One Fingerprinting & Identification, we can take your fingerprints digitally and send it directly to the RCMP. The RCMP will process your background check and send you the certified RCMP criminal record check certificate.
The application type under this section will be "Privacy Act Request" which includes “RCMP National Repository entire holdings.”
