1. Employment (Federal)

•	Applicants who are seeking a job at the Federal Government, or their companies have a contract to perform certain services for the Federal Government that may require them to have access to protected and/or confidential information or be granted access to protected government facilities.  •	The most popular name for this type of fingerprinting “Security Clearance / Security Screening / Reliability Clearance”.  •	Applicant must bring the ORI which is provided by their HR department or the requesting organization to the fingerprinting appointment. The ORI is required by us in order for the RCMP to send the results to the appropriate requesting organization.  •	Once the fingerprints are captured and submitted to the RCMP, Frontier One Inc will provide the applicant with the DCN number. This is a 20-digit number which they can send it back to their employer or the requesting organization as proof of fingerprinting completion.  •	The applicant will NOT receive the results by mail. The employer or the requesting organization could verify the result via the DCN number provided.  •	Our fee for this type of employment is $60 (tax included).

2. Employment (Provincial)

Accepted Answer

•	Background checks are required to the applicants that are applying for jobs with the Government of Ontario or any other provincial government in Canada.  •	Applicants will normally receive a request letter from the provincial government to have a RCMP fingerprint completed.  •	The processing time would take 3-4 weeks to get the physical results in the mail.  •	Our fee will be $85 tax included ($60 fingerprint application fee & $25 RCMP fee)

3. Employment (Private)

Accepted Answer

There are some special types of jobs that are required under Private Employment: 1.	Immigration consultant with CICC  2.	Controlled Goods program •	For this application, applicants will receive a letter that requires them to get the fingerprints done. That letter also provides instructions on how to get it done.  3.	Cannabis Act Clearance •	For this application, applicants must bring the form that is provided by the cannabis company. The letter requires applicants to fill up their information (name, DoB, job title, organization’s name, SEC number) •	The results will be sent directly to Health Canada from the RCMP. A consent fingerprint will be required to put on the letter before giving it back to the applicants. •	The processing time would take 2-3 weeks to get the result. It would be sent directly to the individual’s addresses, or any designated addresses. •	Fee for this type of employment is $85 ($60 fingerprint application fee & $25 RCMP fee).  4.	Any other private employment or membership to professional organization (nursing. health care, accountant, …etc.).

4.     Employment (Police)

Accepted Answer

•	Applicants will be given a letter from the RCMP to get the fingerprints done.  •	Applicants apply for jobs at the RCMP, mostly get requests from the Cadet department.  •	The fingerprints must be done on the C216-c form, the RCMP will require applicants to get 2 sets of fingerprints  •	The fingerprint form will be given to applicants, and they will mail it to the designated address that is on the letter.

5.	Employment (Vulnerable Sector Check)

•	Applicants that are applying for a job related to children, vulnerable persons or volunteer work will be required to get the fingerprints done under VSC.  •	For this type of application, the applicant must start the process at their local police station.  •	If fingerprints are required, the local police will advise the applicant and provide the applicant with an instruction letter to have their fingerprint taken. The result will be sent directly to the police address that is provided on the letter.  •	Without the letter from the police station, fingerprint agencies are not able to capture fingerprints for applicants.  •	Fee for this type of employment is $85 (tax included). However, applicants who are applying for volunteer positions, the cost will be $60 only.   *Please note that some Police Station also provides fingerprinting service for VSC purpose. Otherwise, they will refer the applicant to an accredited fingerprinting agency for fingerprinting.
